ROANA LOGO 2026
I've always wanted a logomark to go with my logotype, and this spring, I finally came up with one I love. The new logomark consists of a flower sprouting from an eye, all enclosed in a circle.
The details for the design decisions are as follows:
-
The circle was included to provide unity with the rest of the logo. Outfit is a very round font, and the logomark, if it were to be alongside the type, would need to match.
-
The eye is for my degree - visual communication design. On a broader scale, it represents the visual arts, which have always been an important part of my life.
-
The eyelashes are for femininity - though I'm not the most feminine person myself, my art style leans towards femininity, and I value the feminine aspect of my art and design styles as a tool to represent women and femininity.
-
The flower ties back into the name Roana - "roanna" in Latin means rose, though the flower in the logo was simplified to a three-petal design to remain stylistically consistent.
-
The flower blooming from the eye is for the goal of Roana: to make businesses visually grow and bloom.
-
As a whole, the design is loosely boho, which is the direction in style I've personally been taking lately. Combined with my peach and black color palette, I consider it a modern "dark boho."
