During my rebrand, I put a lot of thought into how I was going to choose my brand colors. It's one of my favorite but also one of the hardest parts for me. Colors are crucial!
So, to help everyone else struggling with their colors, here's the TL;DR of how I pick my palettes:
✅️ 1-2 Primary or "hero" colors - for recognition, chosen using color psychology and meaning
✅️ Off-white or light/neutral color - for versatility, contrast, and accessibility/readability
✅️ Off-black or dark/neutral color - for versatility, contrast, and accessibility/readability
✅️ Contrast color - for emphasis and visual interest
I hope this helps you make beautiful, effective, easy-to-use palettes. I know it drastically changed the way I looked at mine!
