Choosing Your Moments

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, and with the approaching holiday came a reminder of something my mentor, Arielle, once told me: choose your moments.

When I worked at Moyal, we didn't post for every single holiday; we chose moments that mattered to our brand and to our employees. We posted sports-related days, like Women in Sports Day, but also for things like Queer History Month, for their diverse group of employees. We didn't post for Pi Day, or National Puppy Day, or for other unrelated events.

This way, the meaning of your holiday posts isn't watered down. Then your audience knows that, when you post for a holiday or moment, it really matters to you. Endeavor to make everything you post this year meaningful - everything you put out into the world leaves an accumulating impression of your business.

TL;DR: Be strategic about everything you post - even holidays.
