ABOUT THE ARTIST

Graphic Designer, Illustrator
I’m Genevieve, the owner of Roana Art and Design, a freelance practice focusing on creating and nurturing visual brand identities through cohesive and meaningful web design, print materials, and social media. I have almost a decade of experience designing for a dozen industries, including sports, real estate, healthcare, luxury products, and more. My work focuses on creating and elevating elements that emphasize the true essence of a brand, adding a personal and human touch in an increasingly automated world.
I graduated from Nazareth University in New York with a degree in Visual Communication Design. My personal design style is modern, clean, and boldly colorful. Personally, I’m passionate about human and animal rights, environmental protection, and protection for artists in the digital age. I strive to continue learning and trying new things, and believe education is the key to a successful life.

ABOUT THE BRAND
"ROANA?"
/row-on-uh/
”Roana” is a custom, shortened version of Latin's “Roanna.”
The name Roanna is derived from the Latin word “rosa,” meaning rose, and is often associated with grace and beauty. It embodies both elegance and strength, often symbolizing love and a youthful spirit (Ancestry).
THE LOGO
The eye is for my degree - visual communication design. On a broader scale, it represents the visual arts, which have always been an important part of my life. The eyelashes are for femininity - I value the feminine aspect of my art and design styles as a tool to represent women and femininity. The flower ties back into the name Roana - "roanna" in Latin means rose, though the flower in the logo was simplified to a three-petal design to remain stylistically consistent. The flower blooming from the eye is for the goal of Roana: to make businesses visually grow and bloom.
