You're not in love with the proof your designer sent... now what?
You've got to tell them what you don't like, and effective communication saves EVERYONE time and money.
When giving feedback to your designer:
✦ Be as specific as possible! Use things like page numbers, colors, or directions (top/left/etc) to direct them.
✦ Add pictures! Use Google or sites like Behance or Pinterest to find pieces that get your idea across. Existing design from big companies is always a good reference.
✦ Use descriptors! If you can't find photos, describe your vision with adjectives: sharp, soft, bold, dull, etc.
Here are some examples:
✦ "I like the font, but would like it rounder and more playful like the Dunkin font."
✦ "The text in paragraph 2 page 6 is wrong from 'he looked' to 'today.'"
✦ "I'd like the coyote to look sharper and more aggressive, like this example."
If you don't think you can accurately describe your thoughts over type, give your designer a call.
Communication is KEY! 🔑
